Sarah Sanders Humiliates Arrogant CNN Reporter When He Won’t Stop Pestering Her at Presser

White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders scorched CNN’s Jim Acosta during Tuesday’s press briefing.

The argument was over the term “border defense.”

The briefing took place following Trump’s negotiations with Republicans and Democrats on DACA and securing the border.

From BizPac Review:

The briefing followed an unprecedented move by President Trump who allowed the press to attend nearly an hour of a bipartisan meeting at the White House discussing immigration, according to The Daily Caller. Nearly a dozen Republican and Democrat members of Congress negotiated immigration reform, border security and related issues as reporters were allowed to observe and film what would normally be a closed-door meeting.

In the press briefing that followed, Acosta asked if the “wall has to be part of a deal” in border security, to which Sanders responded that border security “has to be part of the process,” although it “doesn’t necessarily mean a physical wall.”

[…]

“You understand Democrats are saying they may not be in favor of this kind of deal?” he asked, setting up Sanders for the final blow.

“If Democrats aren’t in favor of protecting American citizens, I think we have hit a sad day in American history,” she fired back. “But I don’t believe that to be the case. Because as many of them say as they sat around the table when several of you were in the room, they are committed to border security, they do want it, and most of them voted for it previously before this legislation hit the floor.”

Acosta wouldn’t let it go.

Sanders then shot back again, adding: “Jim I’m not negotiating with you. I’ll let Congress take care of that.”

WATCH:

During the first press briefing of the year, Sanders was pressed about the recent protests in Iran. A reporter asked if Trump’s vocal support for the protesters might have caused a backlash against them.

A strange question, but Sanders had no trouble with it.

From Daily Caller:

“No, I think one of the big things that even Hillary Clinton outlined in this when she said that the Obama Administration was to restrained in the 2009 protest and said that that won’t happen again. For once, she is right and we agree with her because President Trump is not going to sit by silently like President Obama did. He certainly supports the Iranian people and wants to make that clear.”

Here’s the clip…

New year. Same Sarah Sanders. She’s absolutely right.

It’s a good thing that the Trump administration is standing on the side of freedom.

Here’s the latest on the uprising…

From NBC News:

The most significant protests in eight years are rocking Iran, with state media reporting Tuesday that the death toll from clashes between demonstrators and security forces had reached at least 20.

Offering his first comments during the six days of unrest, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on Tuesday accused the “enemies of Iran” of meddling in the country’s affairs.

Hundreds of people have been arrested and activists are taking the rare step of publicly criticizing the country’s religious leaders. They are the largest protests since the country’s disputed 2009 presidential election — which triggered the so-called Green Movement.

State TV reported Tuesday that six people had been killed during an attack on a police station in the town of Qahdarijan. It reported that clashes were sparked by rioters who tried to steal guns from the police station.
